Aeroseal Duct Sealing Solution
Stop Expensive Leaks in Your Ductwork With Aeroseal
You probably don't think about them much, since they're tucked up above your ceiling and running through your walls, but your ducts are a big system, and when they leak they can create an equally big problem.
Expensive heated or cooled air can be entering your attic, crawl spaces, and walls instead of your rooms, while cheap dirty air flows into your ducts and then moves through your home.
Now you can seal those ducts from the inside out with Aeroseal technology applied by the experts at R.A. Heating & Air Conditioning.
Sealing From the Inside Improves the Effectiveness
Traditionally, duct sealing has been done by painting sealant materials on from the outside, which means only visible ducts can be repaired and poor painting techniques can lead to errors.
Because Aeroseal comes at leaks from inside the ducts themselves, no leak is missed, and you'll see better results both in improved comfort and reduced energy use.
The Aeroseal Process Quickly Works to Seal Ducts
The Aeroseal process follows six steps and takes very little time.
- Wall registers are covered so air escapes only through the leaks in the ducts
- Sealant is injected into the ducts for approximately an hour
- Continuous air movement keeps the particles suspended in the airflow
- As the air stream makes a sharp turn to exit through a leak, the particles collide with and adhere to the leak edges and then to each other until they cover the leak
- Once the ducts are sealed, only 1-2 oz. of the sealant material remains in them
- A computer-generated analysis summarizing your home’s or building’s amount of leakage is generated, providing verification that the process has been a success
Developed by the University of California, which was granted the initial patents, the technology is licensed exclusively to Aeroseal and provided in the local market by our seasoned professionals.
